The CONNECT2SEA partnership will strengthen ICT collaboration between Europe and South East Asia
The CONNECT2SEA project, coordinated by inno TSD, was launched at the kick off meeting on January 21, 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand. Its goal is to reinforce ICT collaboration between the EU and in South East Asia. The project specifically aims to “connect” ICT EU-SEA Research, Development and Innovation Knowledge Networks and R&D teams, and to contribute to EU-ASEAN policy dialogue. CONNECT2SEA is funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme for Research & Technological Development (2007-2013) - ICT theme.
The partnership includes: inno TSD (France), TU Dortmund (Germany), NECTEC (Thailand), CNRS (France), FORTH – Institute of Computer Science (Greece), Athens Technology Centre (Greece), ITI-VNU Vietnam National University (Vietnam), University Sains Malaysia (Malaysia), Advanced Science and Technology Institute (Philippines), and BPPT – Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (Indonesia).
In March 2014, CONNECT2SEA plans to launch the call for proposals to invite R&D teams from EU and South East Asia to initiate or broaden ICT R&D collaboration between EU and South East Asia (100 000 eur CONNECT2SEA fund).
