Inno TSD co-organised the EU-US Science Cooperation forum « New Frontiers in Science Diplomacy » in Washington, DC, on September 28th 2015, that gathered up to 120 participants.
How to advance diplomacy for science? Science for diplomacy? Science in diplomacy? Where can the EU and US learn from each other’s approaches?
The event gave the floor to prestigious speakers, such as Dr Peter Agre - Nobel Laureate and former President of AAAS, H.E. David O’Sullivan - Ambassador of the European Union in US, Tom Wang - Executive Director, Science and Diplomacy , American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Cathleen Campbell, President and CEO of CRDF Global, councilors for Science and Technology from a number of embassies, and many others EU and US stakeholders, representatives of think tanks, researchers and innovators. Energy security, climate actions, advancement of health diplomacy in the context of global health challenges and new frontiers in EU-US Science Diplomacy were among the topics discussed at the event.
